Research Interests

Formal semantics, pragmatics, syntax, syntax-semantics-pragmatics interface. I'm intersted in linguistic variations, tense-aspect, evidentiality, presupposition, modality and its relation to temporality. However, I don't see my interests limited to these areas, as I'm also eager to exploring other avenues of the field.

Achievemtns

• I won the first place at the students event for ‘English short story’ at the university of Kurdistan for writing a short story named ‘Unexpected Reunion’, an adaptation of John Peter Hebel’s writing.

• I granted the first place to study MA in linguistics at the university of Kurdistan (talented students allotment program), without participating in the National University Entrance Examination (Concour) – I rejected it in order to take part in the examination.

• Ranked 23 nationwide in the national university entrance examination.

I've been working as a content specialist, technical writer and then a content manager for different companies for over 10 years. Some of the companies I've worked for include:
